Hockey Card Trade Night

While Sundays have been open to all trading, we have decided to give Hockey Card Trading it’s own separate time slot at Orchard City Games. Starting April 2024, we will have a free weekly trade night for our hockey collectors to meet up and trade in person. These gatherings will also include giveaways from time to time!

Key Points: Trade Nights will be Tuesdays 5-8pm. We will routinely have draws for special cards and/or packs. Trade Nights are open to all ages. We will have special deals on packs for Trade Night participants.

I have many fond childhood memories of meeting up for trade days/nights, building my collection face to face with other people. This is something that has been lacking in recent years, with the pandemic forcing many people to isolate for two years. Things were definitely pushed online and many buy/sell/trade people were forced to go to eBay to continue with the hobby. This unfortunately alienated a large portion of the younger collectors and modern avid hockey fans who don’t have access to the same channels.

We’ve seen success in the community as we’ve supported some local collectors who are working towards building the community back up and helping young collectors and their parents find resources during recent shortages.

With 40 seats available at the store and plenty of table space, we have cleared our Tuesdays on the calendar to make a safe and friendly space for the Okanagan’s collectors to gather and buy/trade/sell hockey cards. With a relaxed environment and the ability to sit and chat while engaging in friendly social activity – we expect that this will help people of all ages finish their personal collections and make good use of duplicates or other cards they don’t need themselves.

If you have any questions between now and the first trade night on April 2nd, or if you’d like to sponsor a trade night with a donation – please feel free to contact the store! We’re excited to provide another great event that will develop the local community, and we hope to grow it into something we can host at conventions in the region going forward!

Looking forward to seeing you in attendance!
